Our daughter was part of the DSO Civic Youth Ensemble as well as the AVANTI Summer MusicFest (sponsored by the DSO). If it wasn't for her extra-curricular activities, I would not be able to practice and improve my indoor, no flash, photography skills.

Henry Ford's Greenfield Village - Dearborn, Michigan

Chaperoning five 5th Graders helped to exponentially improve my "fraction of a second" photography skills. It was no easy task taking photographs with hundreds (it seemed like thousands) of other guests to the village.

Our daughter was one of the Honor Guards at this year's Commencement Exercises. It was another opportunity to work with my camera settings (with no flash).

DeVos Place Convention Center - Grand Rapids, Michigan

Our daughter made it into the 2015 All-State MSBOA (Michigan Schools Band and Orchestra Association) and the final performance was held at the DeVos Place Convention Center in Grand Rapids, Michigan. It was the perfect opportunity to work on my indoor photography skills.

Amway Grand Plaza Hotel - Grand Rapids, Michigan

The interior design of the Amway Grand Plaza Hotel was magnificent. These images where taken at 11:00p when there was the least amount of guests roaming the lobby. The chandeliers were my favorite accessories.
