As I do with every sunset, I look out of my doorwall to the west and check to see if it's worth it to bundle up in full winter gear and walk out to the below 30 degree, windy climate on the boardwalk.
At first, it didn't look like much, but I've gone through a long stretch of no sunrise or sunset photos which made me decide to take a chance and head out.
Scarf...check, winter coat...check, ear muff...check, thermal pants...check, winter pants...check, winter gloves...check, winter boots...check, a little lotion to keep my face from wind burn and a dab of lip balm to keep my lips from splitting and I was ready for a sunset.
I'm glad I decided to head out because I was extremely happy with what my camera gave me. :D
